The American Majority Party makes it possible to vote for what you want before you vote for who you want. As simple as this Future No Vote (FNV) tool may seem at first, in practice it turns out to completely revolutionize our democracy. Here’s how it works.
Step 1
Sign up with the American Majority Party. Based on your location we create a personalized democracy dashboard for you. You must be a registered voter (honor system for now).
Step 2
Review the active FNV Campaigns on your dashboard and pledge your future candidate vote to one or more of these issue-specific campaigns. Your identity is never revealed, but your FNV is added to the total displayed. FNV totals are displayed in real-time, showing elected officials and candidates how many of their constituents won’t vote for them in the next election if they don’t support the FNV Campaign’s issue-specific demand.
Step 3(optional)
Before and during election season you can now (if you prefer) safely ignore all candidate ads, party appeals, political conventions, and TV talking heads, because ….
Step 4
On election day your dashboard will identify those candidates you can vote for based on the issues you’ve pledged your vote to (AMP monitors the policy positions and commitments of all federal elected officials and candidates). If more than one candidate supports your issue(s), you can use any secondary criteria you wish (candidate bio, party affiliation, coin toss) to decide, knowing that whomever you choose will do what you want done.
Step 5
Check your democracy dashboard regularly to see what FNV Campaigns have succeeded (the desired legislation has been enacted), and what new FNV Campaigns are becoming available.
