Two Party vs. AMParty

Two Party vs. American Majority Party

The “Future No Vote” campaign is the core innovation of the American Majority Party. Our FNV Campaigns make it possible for citizens to vote for what they want before they vote for who they want. Compare our existing proprietary two-party system to AMP’s open source, issue-specific voting platform:

“Proprietary” Democracy “Open Source” Democracy
Two-Party System – Vote for who you want American Majority Party – Vote for what you want.
Vote once every two years, in person, on a specific date, at a specified place. Choose one of two candidates (usually) per contest. Versatility Vote in multiple FNV Campaigns covering specific issues, as often as you wish, from your PC or Smartphone.
After each election the winners must immediately start raising cash for their next campaign, so their primary allegiance is to money sources rather than voters. Accountability When elected officials don’t act on issues supported by a quantified, visible majority of their constituents, they will lose their jobs.
You can always write a letter or send an e-mail to an elected official, At the federal level, you typically need to make campaign contributions to gain personal access to a US Congressperson or Senator Participation If you want to dedicate time to issue(s) that are important to you, you can join an AMP issues subcommittee and participate in the development of new FNV Campaigns (via e-mail and Web).
Elected officials typically don’t reveal the results of their constituent communications, and there are now (courtesy of the US Supreme Court) many ways to make large, untraceable, off-the-books donations to politicians and their election campaigns. Transparency AMP publishes in real-time the quantified view of its members on specific issues. AMP has no need for donations from individuals or companies because it is self-funding: during election season we sell ad space to candidates on our democracy dashboard. All AMP income and expenses will be published annually on our Web site.
According to the Gallup polling organization, Congress’s job approval rating since 2010 has ranged between 9% and 21%, among the lowest of all surveyed occupations. Crucial issues that a majority of Americans want to see addressed (e.g. health care, immigration reform) remain bogged down in Congress in `a partisan, party-led stalemate. Efficacy / Progress Once a FNV Campaign for a specific issue is activated, it remains on our website until our elected representatives fix the problem. Once the issue has been addressed, that campaign is replaced by a new FNV Campaign about another issue. In order to focus our effort and demonstrate progress, we plan to host no more than three active FNV Campaigns at any given time.
